I love things that serve more than one purpose. I was so excited to try Blair Stocker’s Ruby Ruler™.
The ruler itself is a 5-1/2″ square with 1″ increments.
- Using the marking on the ruler, lay the 45 degree angle on the seam of half square or quarter square triangles to trim the blocks perfectly.
- Did you know that artists have used red film (Rubylith film) to view color values (dark vs light)? Hold the ruler up to your eyes and look at fabric through the ruler. The red acts as a filter by tricking your eye by canceling out color allowing you to focus instead on dark vs light.
